Dear all,

Greetings!

This year, on 5th of April, NAFO will mark its 20th anniversary since its establishment. Over the years, NAFO has evolved into a prominent social and cultural organization, officially recognized by the Indian embassy in Kuwait. In July 2022, NAFO was officially launched as a Charitable Institution in Kerala, under the name “NAFO Global,” to enable it spread its wings and get connected with its members globally.

Despite facing challenging economic conditions in Kuwait, NAFO’s Advisory Board/Executive Committee (ABEC) has decided to mark this milestone by launching 20 welfare projects and mega programs.

During the Nallonam event held on September 22, 2023, at SIMS Salmiya, NAFO ABEC members, along with sponsors and well-wishers, announced the launch of “Snehasparsham,” a series of 20 welfare schemes to be implemented in 2024. These schemes aim to provide financial assistance to approximately 135 beneficiaries, with an estimated commitment of over Rs 35 lakhs. The schemes cover a wide range of areas, including support for elderly homes, assistance for differently-abled children, educational aid, marriage assistance, housing support, school equipment, hearing aids, cleft lip surgery, cataract surgery, and more.

To ensure transparency and quality in both funding sources and beneficiary selection, NAFO has developed digitalized application forms for beneficiaries and sponsors, along with clear selection criteria and rules. Additionally, a dedicated team consisting of ABEC members from NGI and NGK has been formed to oversee the Snehasparsham project.

We are pleased to see the overwhelming response from our LM/AM members so far, and we are hopeful for your continued support in reaching our target beneficiaries.
