In a significant milestone, the NAFO Global community, rooted in Kuwait for the past two decades, has expanded its reach to India and global destination.
NAFO GLOBAL CENTRE was inaugurated at the capital city of Kerala in Alathara Towers, Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram on 21st October,2023. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. PC Nair, former consultant Pulmonologist, Amiri hospital and visiting professor, Al Mubarak Medical University Kuwait.
Shri M Ravindranath Kurup, who has a long-standing lineage of contributing to the field of education in Kuwait, was the Guest of Honour in the inaugural ceremony.
The event was presided over by NAFO Global Secretary Murali S Nair, and Joint Secretary C Krishna Kumar extended a warm welcome, with G Girish Kumar, Social activist, (Ex. Kuwait) offered greetings.
This expansion brings with it several new initiatives aimed at positively impacting the community. Among these initiatives, “NAFO SNEHATHEERTHAM, which provides educational assistance to the needy meritorious students and NAFO SNEHAKIRANAM , a scheme for providing monetary support to the deserving patients for critical Health care involving surgery, organ transplant, dialysis etc.
The function witnessed the presence of several prominent figures actively involved in the social and cultural spheres of Thiruvananthapuram, who also extended their best wishes. Treasurer PS Krishna Kumar expressed gratitude during the program, which was efficiently coordinated by NAFO Global Member M Vijaya Kumar.
While the ceremony was held in India, the online platform allowed NAFO Global leaders from Kuwait to join in celebrating this significant achievement. NAFO Global India President Vijayan Nair, Vice President Bala Sundaran Nair, Joint Treasurer Vijayan Nair, Vice President Bala Sundaran Nair, Joint Treasurer Vijaya Kumar Menon, and leaders of NAFO Global Kuwait Chapter, including President Rajeev Menon, General Secretary Anish Nair, and Treasurer Unnikrishnan Kurup, extended their congratulations and support for this expansion.
