NAFO Global Kuwait, marked a momentous occasion with the celebration of “Onapulari 24.” The event was held at the prestigious Indian School of Excellence – Salmiya showcased a variety of cultural programs with diversity and unity.
The festivities commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp by NAFO officials and esteemed senior ladies, in the presence of NAFO Members, families, and friends.
Jayaraj Nair Edathil, Acting General Secretary of NAFO Global Kuwait, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. President Naveen CP delivered an inspiring Presidential address, while Advisory Board Member Vijay Krishnan shared the “ONASANDESHAM.”
Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the event featured the official launch of NAFO Global Kuwait’s 20th Anniversary Event, “MEGHAM” with the release of the event flyer and promo video by the Title and Metallic Sponsors, as well as NAFO Office bearers and conveners. Treasurer Unnikrishna Kurup then elucidated the organization’s ambitious plan “Sneha Sparsham” for 20 projects. 10 projects worth 15.1 lakhs which aided 64 eligible beneficiaries are completed and the plans for executing the balance 10 welfare projects for 54 beneficiaries were presented.
The cultural extravaganza began with a rhythmic “CHENDAMELAM” performance by Keli Group, followed by a captivating array of cultural performances, including Thiruvathirakali, Classical Dance, solo and group dances, solo and group songs, and a delightful comedy dance presented by NAFO Members.
No cultural celebration is complete without a sumptuous feast. All attendees were treated to a delectable “Onasadya,” adding to the festive spirit of the event.
The event concluded with the prize distribution of drawing competition for kids and a photo contest for the members in Onam attire and the vote of thanks, delivered by the event’s convener Girish Kumar.
Onapulari 24 was a resounding success, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry and community spirit upheld by NAFO Global Kuwait. This event exemplifies the organization’s commitment to preserving and promoting cultural heritage while contributing to the welfare of the community.
