Excellence and triumph are two words synonymous with any endeavor of NAFO Global Kuwait. This time around the 19th Anniversary Celebrations of NAFO Global Kuwait, saw the group raising its own standards and setting new benchmarks for future ventures.
Friday, November 4th, 2022 witnessed the mega event Pragathi, organized to celebrate and commemorate 19 years of NAFO Global Kuwait’s presence and contribution to the society.
The event that was held in the American International School (AIS), Maidan Hawally drew a crowd of more than one thousand people.
The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony and was followed by the National Anthem of Kuwait and India. A soulful and melodious rendition of the prayer song by the group “Symphony” to invoke the blessings of the Almighty was up next.
Smt. Akhila donned the role of the anchor and took the crowd through the program.
The General Secretary of NAFO, Shri Vijaykumar Menon marked the commencement of the celebrations with the welcome address. The presidential address was then delivered by Shri. C.P.Rajiv Menon, NAFO President.
The event was graced with the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Vinod Gaikwad, First Secretary (Press, Information, Culture, Consular, Education) and Head of Chancery, Indian Embassy Kuwait. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Mazen Al Ansari, Assistant Undersecretary, International Media, Ministry of Information Kuwait, also honoured the gathering with his presence.
Both the Chief guest, Mr. Vinod Gaikwad and the guest of honour, Mr. Mazen Al Ansari addressed the gathering and emphasized on the important role organizations like NAFO Global play in the society and the continued need to work for the welfare of people from every strata of the society. The guests were then presented with mementoes to felicitate and thank them for gracing the occasion.
This was followed by the souvenir release by the First Secretary, Mr. Vinod Gaikwad who handed over the first copy to Mr.Philby John, Project Director of Al Shaya Al Ahalia. NAFO Global Kuwait took this opportunity to thank and felicitate all the sponsors who trusted it’s vision and helped successfully celebrate the mega event, Pragathi.
Nafo Global’s initiative to honor business leaders in the corporate world was praiseworthy. The Business Awards Segment hosted by Smt. Jyothi Menon saw Awards being given out in 3 categories to 4 exemplary personalities. Mr. Mazen Al Ansari did the honors and presented the awards to the winners.
NAFO Global Business Leadership Award 2022 was conferred on Mr. Adeeb Ahmed, Managing Director, Lulu Financial Holdings. NAFO Global Education Leader Award 2022 was bequeathed on Mr. N.K.Ramachandran, Founder and Chairman, Bhavans Middle East. The NAFO Global Entrepreneurship Award 2022 was presented to Mr. Mohandas Kizhakke. The NAFO Global Corporate Icon Award 2022 was bestowed on Mr. Rohit Ramachandran, Chief Executive Officer, Jazeera Airways.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by NAFO Global Secretary General and Program Convener, Mr. Anish Nair to mark the end of the official segment of the evening.
The audience were then treated to a small, short video presentation, highlighting the contribution, values, commitments and showcasing the achievements of NAFO in the yester years.
The final segment of the evening, the much-awaited performance of the band Pragathi, lead by Dr. Harishankar and accompanied by Ms. Nithya Mammen was truly breathtaking. The 1000 plus audience swayed and danced to the melodious numbers presented by them. The two odd hours that followed saw everyone enjoying the scintillating performance of the band. The vibrant, dynamic concert that went on left the audience wanting and asking for more.
Truly a spectacular evening, well spent with an amazing group of people, to celebrate a momentous milestone !!!
